Ready for a new year!!

2005 was a year marked with many many milestones:

Site Redesign, Home Shows, Wedding Commissions, First Website order ... and the list goes on.

December 3rd marked the relaunch of TK Originals. We had a party to commemorate the day with many friends who came to show their support (and make purchases).

We also had two successful home shows, where I was able to introduce TK Originals to a whole new group of ladies.

I also have several weddings in '06 that I'm going to design custom jewelry for. I'm very excited about these. What a happy time -- and that I can share my passion for jewelry with brides-to-be ... I'm just very excited!!

This time is very exciting!! It's been a challenge juggling my F/T time, incoming orders, gifts for the holidays ... but well worth it.

December 15th marked the registration of TK Originals with the City of San Francisco. So I'm officially a "Small Business Owner" ... a very big step that I didn't think I would ever take ... but am glad I have.

I'm looking forward to the coming year. Many new inspirations ... many home shows ... many weddings ... many beads!!

TKO Parties on the Island

Alameda (otherwise known as the "Island") is home to Cat Griffin -- a good friend of mine and inspiration for the "Catherine" collections on my site. Cat is a big supporter of my jewelry making -- and so this past Saturday she hosted a TKO party - the first since the relaunch of the TK Originals website - so her friends could do a little creative holiday shopping. The party was of course a rounding success.

The ladies shopped ... and ate ... and tried on jewelry!!

The thing I love most about parties (and granted my experience so far is limited) is that it seems like my creations appeal tomost everyone who comes. We'll see if this holds true in the future ... but for now I'm happy knowing that my jewels are finding new and happy homes on new wearers.

TK Originals hits Texas

As you probably know ... I actually took my first Jewelry making class in Austin Texas almost four years ago. It was because of the love and support that my friends and co-workers there that TKO is what it is today. I have to give such big thanks to those ladies (and Eric of course) ... for without their support my jewelry wouldn't have made it out of my living room!

That said ... this past weekend my good friend Laura hostessed a TKO party at her house ...

We had many lovely ladies show up ... even Laura's little girls enjoyed playing jewelry! Laura even pulled out her "collection" of TKO jewelry ...
she had REALLY been a wonderful supporter of my endeavor -- from the beginning!!

It was very fun ... and I have to thank Laura for being one of my jewelry party guinea pigs ... and her constant support!!

Then we headed to Gatesville -- where we visited with family -- and busted out the TKO jewelry!

Casey's family has also been a wonderful supporter of all things TKO ... and it was fun seeing three generations wearing my creations.

As always -- thanks for reading... and much thanks to the ladies of Texas for their CONSTANT love and support!

After three long years ...

TK Originals is officially up and live ... It's not completely done -- but we have a couple pages of jewelry shopping up (more to come) ... don't forget to join the mailing list!

Once the site was up I thought the sales would start pouring in ... but, sadly, that hasn't been the case. Seems you all want MORE.

So we're working hard to add new items for sale (earrings coming soon) and to complete the pages that are incomplete ...

In the meantime ... I made this pretty custom piece for my friend Jeannie who's attending a wedding this coming weekend and wanted something super special for the event. It's one of a kind -- black crystals with purple accents.

In case I haven't mentioned it before ... I really do love custom orders ... so if you're looking for a unique piece to match a favorite sweater, pants or dress ... please do let me know!!

Until next time ...

xo
